Qian Qian

I’m Qian Qian, a farmer and a writer. My everyday life is here on the farm, shaped by the season, the work that needs doing and what is ready to bring to the table.

I have travelled through many countries, published my own book, and shared my life and work with an audience of around 200,000 people across social platforms. Those journeys have given me plenty to think about, but I am just as interested in the stories close to home: how people grow their food, make a living and find a rhythm in an ordinary day.

When you visit, I would like you to encounter rural China as a lived place. We can walk through the fields, talk about what is growing, help with a little seasonal work and sit down to something home-cooked. There is also room for tea, questions and a quiet moment in the courtyard.

You do not need to know anything about farming. Bring your curiosity, and we can start with what is happening on the farm that day.
